HiveFive is a family task, reward, goal, and screen-time management application operated by Briggs Group LLC. References to "HiveFive," "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Briggs Group LLC.

2. What HiveFive Does
HiveFive helps families manage chores, habits, goals, rewards, allowances, and screen time. Parents and guardians create family accounts, add child profiles, assign tasks, approve completions, and manage earned balances. Children use the app under parent setup and supervision.
3. Information We Collect
Parent / Guardian Account Information
- Email address and display name (used to create and identify your account)
- Encrypted password (we do not store passwords in plain text)
- Account preferences and settings you configure
Child Profile Information
- Child's first name or display name (entered by the parent)
- Avatar color or photo (optional, uploaded by the parent)
- PIN (4-digit, stored in hashed form — not plain text)
- Earning type preferences (screen time, money, or points)
- Daily goals and reward settings configured by the parent
Family Activity Data
- Tasks, task templates, schedules, and recurrence settings
- Task completions, parent approvals, and rejection notes
- Goals, goal progress, redemption requests, and wishlist items
- Balance history, spend requests, and transaction records
- Streaks, milestones, and activity history
App Usage and Technical Data
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- Session and authentication events needed to operate the service
- Crash reports and diagnostic data used to identify and fix bugs
- Push notification tokens, if you grant notification permission
4. How We Use Your Information
- Operate and deliver the HiveFive app and its features
- Sync data between parent and child devices within your family
- Manage tasks, approvals, goals, rewards, and balance activity
- Send password reset emails when you request them
- Respond to support inquiries
- Detect and fix bugs, improve reliability, and maintain security
- Send optional push notifications (daily reminders, task alerts) if you have enabled them
5. We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your family's data to any third party for advertising or commercial purposes. We do not use third-party advertising networks within the app.
6. Children and Family Data
Child profiles are created and managed entirely by a parent or guardian. Children access the app only through devices set up by their parent using the child-device setup flow. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children independently of parental control. Parents can manage, update, or delete any child profile and its associated data at any time from within the app. To delete your family account and all associated data, contact us at admin@hivefiveapp.com.
7. Data Sharing and Service Providers
We use trusted third-party service providers to help operate HiveFive. These providers process data only on our behalf and are bound by appropriate data protection obligations. Current categories of providers include:
- Firebase / Google: Authentication, cloud database (Firestore), file storage, and crash/performance reporting
- App hosting: Infrastructure used to run our backend services
- Analytics and diagnostics: Tools used to monitor app stability and performance
We do not share your data with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing or commercial use.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing admin@hivefiveapp.com. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable time.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your family's data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords and PINs, and authentication controls. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of HiveFive after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
